Hi, my name’s Vadim and I’m a Political Science/Economics student at DePaul University. I’m also an activist and democratic advocate, hip-hop/folk musician and vegetarian, writer and bike enthusiast, and on-again-off-again male model.
I joined The Point in June of 2008, hoping to apply my interest in social and political issues to a startup company dealing with collective action. Through the site I want to address problems of sustainability and green development in my own neighborhood, and the whole of Chicago. In the future I hope to study and address Third World and environmental issues, global development, and democracy promotion in my home country of Belarus (and elsewhere). Hopefully my time at The Point will help me develop a good framework for collective action in and outside of traditional democratic systems.

Vegan Blog
Hi Monica,

I agree the graphic’s a little confrontational but so is funding terror groups and supporting the trade embargo. Bacardi hardly builds its image off modesty so I don’t think...

Already vegan
Well, given that most Americans eat meat at least once a day and often see vegetarianism as a daunting task I don’t think this campaign is aiming low at all.

We've raised more than the RED Campaign!
“Let me just ask YOU one more thing – issue you a challenge – and see if you’ll respond. If this “discussion” is so needed, and so important, what are you thinking will come of it? Answer me directly, in as few sentences as possible…..HOW WILL THIS HELP THE...
