Messaging members of relevant campaigns on The Point

There are many ongoing and closed campaigns on The Point, and some of them may be very similar to your campaign. The individuals who have joined those campaign may very well be likely to join yours if you reach out to them.

  1. Search for campaigns by keyword on The Point.
  2. Find the campaigns that look relevant in any way to your campaign (cause, interest, geographic region, etc.)
  3. On each relevant campaign’s campaign page, view the member list.
  4. Next to each member’s name, click “send username a message”
  5. Write them a thoughtful note and invite them to your campaign, provide the link.
  6. You may additionally choose to write a different message to the campaign organizer, asking them to post a news item (which messages all the campaign members at once), encouraging them to join. The more voices they hear it from the better, and if they know or trust the other campaign organizer, their endorsement may help in getting them to your campaign.
  7. Feel free to add some of these Point users as “contacts.” Then you’ll have them in your permanent contact list for future campaigns. Build up your network!
