I’m raising money for a scholarship fund. Contributions to this fund are normally tax deductible when made by individuals. This is possible because the scholarship fund receives the name and address of each individual contributor.
However, if I use the point to raise funds, I assume that when the campaign tips and a check is cut, its one lump sum and the individual contributors are not identified for purposes of claiming their tax deduction. Is this the case?
If it is, is it possible for the beneficiary to receive a list of all the contributors?
