We need to get rid of commercials on basic TV stations. I’m fine with there being commercials every half hour or so, but things have gone way too far. I know DVR is one solution, but there should be a way to pay slightly more and have basic channels provided in the same format that premium channels are (that is, commercials only in between programs). Maybe we just pick one channel, like NBC, and let them know we’ll pay more if they provide this service. Ideas?
