I am an aid worker. Often I feel I am still not doing enough.
I found my blog could be used as a soapbox, calling for change, and started a project called “Change Starts Here”, funding micro financing projects in Africa, Asia and South America via http://www.Kiva.org

The post encouraged people to leave a comment. For each comment, I contributed US$1 to the project. (this ensured people read the post, and would be encouraged to pick up the challenge of making change)
I also encouraged people to start their own Kiva projects, or to join our Kiva lender’s group.
To my surprise, colleagues and readers picked it up, and in less than a month, we gathered almost US$4,000 in funding…
I am posting this here, hoping the Point’s community would further help spreading this project, pushing it beyond “the point”.
