……how can we stop this over packaging that is done mostly to look good on the shelves, it would look better to me as a consumer if it was lightly packaged ….

I’m new here, but I and a few others I know that have to take several medications each month want to figure out a way to recycle prescription bottles.
I know with mine, the lables peel right off, so if there was a way to sterilize them or clean them to make sure no remanents of my medication was left in the bottle, I could turn them back in. I cannot imagine how much money it would end up saving all of us in the end….So far the only cleaning method I can come up with is steam-it’s cheap, it kills germs and spores and I think if the temp is high enough it even kills the AIDS virus (?) (have to check on that). Then run it thru a high temp dryer and you’ve got yourself a perfectly good prescription bottle. Americans are just so freakin lazy is what I think the biggest problem is. We all want disposable everything. What do you think?
