Climate change disasters exacerbate these inequities and keep women further entrenched in poverty. However, for centuries women have been adapting to swift climate changes and have invaluable knowledge to contribute to climate change solutions. Therefore, it is neccessary to have women as champions in climate change solutions as well as incorporate a gender perspective when developing climate change policy. Because the U.S. is currently inactive on climate change policy but so critical to its implementation internationally, U.S. WOMEN must DEMAND U.S. ACTION on CLIMATE CHANGE!
‘Women Demand U.S. Action on Climate Change’ has reached the tipping point!
That means that it’s time for everybody to complete the pledge: “Join 1Sky this August and talk to your representative about climate change during congress’ recess!”
