Cell phone companies have charged US consumers anywhere from 10-15 cents for incoming messages on the cell phones. People have no control over these messages as other people are sending the messages to them. Cell phone companies are charging them for other people’s actions. For example, if a company/individual spammed my cell phone with an sms, I would have to pay 10/15 cents for that spam even though I was the victim and had nothing to do with it.
Companies like T-mobile don’t even allow a consumer to be able to switch off receiving the messages. If we band together and ask companies to stop this unfair practice, it will have a much greater impact than just one or two of us complaining to them.
