THE PITCH

St. Jude Children’s Hospital is a pediatric treatment & research facility that provides treatment for all patients accepted without regard to the family’s ability to pay. St. Jude also provides assistance with transportation costs and local living expenses during treatment and has developed protocols that helped push overall survival rates for childhood cancer from less than 20% when the hospital opened in 1962, to more than 70% today.

St. Jude’s can’t operate for free. Daily operating costs for St. Jude are nearly $1.3 million, which is primarily funded by public contributions, but now YOU can be part of that! Every pledge made will go directly to St. Jude Children’s Hospital if at least 275 people pledge to participate in a 5K on the campus of William and Mary on November 23rd, 2008.

Did you know a 5K is only 3.1 miles? Run or walk, we’d love to have you! In order for St. Jude Children’s Hospital to be able to keep giving, WE have to keep giving!!

Our campaign objective ("To register 275 people to for a 5K organized by TriDelta to benefit St. Jude Children’s Hospital! ") has been met! Thanks for your pledge – your credit card will be charged in the next few days.

Also, thank you for coming out for the race!!! It was so great to see everyone! The email that you listed on the race day registration will get an email this week with the official race results and times!!!

Thanks again for all your support and for helping us to help St. Jude!!!

    Hello,
    I will be in Williamsburg for the weekend and will run the 5k.
    BTW I just pledeged $25.oo

    My wife would like to join and also pledge. However the website doesn’t want to allow a 2nd pledge/membership from my computer. Can I call in or is there a way to trick the computer.

    Also we would like to run/walk the 5k. I can’t find any on-line registrations which is typical of such events. Do we just show up at W&M Hall?

    Please advise on both quetions.

    Another BTW Liz Kelin, our niece is a new Tri-Delta sister.

    The site will allow any number of people to join, as long as they each use a separate email address.

    It may be that this person remained logged in, in which case, the only need to click the ‘Log Out’ link at the top right of the page in order to let his wife then sign up and join the campaign.

    They’ll then each have their own account, tied to their email addresses.

$10 in the minimum….but did you know you can pledge more than $10? Every penny pledged will be donated directly to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital!
