ok i have worked for kfc..and i have raised chickens growing up on the farm…i have seen the inside of a slaughter house where they kill numerous cattle for food…come on now…you people arent sleeping with chickens are you..not to be an asshole or anything but dude they are animals and all bred for one thing!! FOOD! ok i have lived on a farm for quite some time and believe me chickens are nasty creatures. almost like pigeons in a way! i mean thinking of an animal getting abused hurts me personally but its a chicken, they dont get treated the way you think..they get caged, fed, killed…but no regrets…they are not your pets they are livestock…im not sure what you think they are doing to hurt chickens before they are fed but do you hear them bitching? and whats this about them supposed to have a life before they are killed?? THEY DO!!! they are around other chickens, they eat, play, and sleep together! I MEAN THAT IS THEIR LIFE! THAT IS WHAT THEY DO! I dont suppose you think that the company just kicks the shit outta them to tender them up? if some of those little guys are just in your way when your trying to walk of course your gonna boot a couple just so they move…they are stupid animals man! like when something gets in your way while your walking do you kick at it to move it?? say your carrying a heavy load of laundry and you trip over your dog…i bet that pisses you off that it didnt move while your carrying the clothes so you kick at it to get it to move or you yell at it…now dont get me wrong im not saying your gonna kick it to where it hurts it…your kicking it to tell it to move when its under your feet…chickens wont learn that though, like i said they are stupid animals! now the worst thing i have EVER seen was inside the slaughter house when the kill cows…THAT IS SOMETHING THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED! putting that long razor blade right through the cows throat to cut it’s head off ever so slowly and to hear the cow moo the way it did while it was cutting its head off and to see it squint its eyes and force its tongue out of its mouth…i will NEVER EVER forget it…i felt so bad watching that and just thinking of it almost 10 years later i feel the same way! but the chicken’s being mishandled..i think your mistaken it. but im telling you animal lovers, just watch a cow get its head cut off…a sight i never want to see or think of again! but hey, the food tastes great!!! do what you do for a living ya know! now im not sure if i touched on the main issue here but im telling you, there are MANY OTHER THINGS THAT SHOULD BE PROTESTED BEFORE THE CHICKENS

These chickens do not lead a ‘great life’ before they are slaughtered, they lead a dark, cramped, disease ridden life.
Defending these companies is shocking and I really think you’re going to annoy a lot of people with these comments.
Yes, cows need to be thought of too, but so do the pigs and the lambs….We are talking about KFC chicken here. I am a meat eater (after 12 years as a vegetarian), and I understand that many of these animals are reared for their meat. We can however (as intelligent, compassionate human beings) watch what we eat and where we source it from. Eat local, free range food – not live transported, intensively reared products.
Oh – and the comment about kicking your dog…….Good job I don’t know who you are or I’d come and kick your arse so hard, you wouldn’t walk for a week ;)

I am proud to say, that despite the fact that I remember KFC being so tasty and crispy, I had not eaten there in yeaaaars; and I will not eat there ever again, unless they do end their cruelty against animals. I do not buy KFC for myself nor for anyone in my family or friends.

OMG thank you so much guys! Of course the only ‘Anonymous’ person on here is also the most ignorant person on here. Listen Mr. Anonymous—you grew up on a personal FARM. Large corporations do not get they’re chicken from local farms, they get they’re chicken and other animal products from FACTORY FARMS. Are the chickens fed? Yeah-sure they are they are pumped with feed filled with antibiotics to prevent they diseases they are prone to because of poor conditions. Those poor conditions include injury due to them pecking each others eyes out, sitting in their own feces, infection due to close quarters and they fact that they are confined in such small cramped spaces they cant spread their wings. Not to mention workers chop their beeks off to prevent them from pecking. And no Mr. Anonymous, this is not sterile surgery with pain killers- they just grab em and chop em off. How would you like it if I just walked up to you and chopped your nose off? But I guess since we can talk that makes our pain more important and our lives more valuable?
Don’t get me wrong, I am not a vegitarian. I do believe in the circle of life and it is part of human life to consume animals. HOWEVER, i am so careful with where I buy my meat.
Any animal deserves humane treatment while alive and a short, as painless as possible slaughter. I could go on forever about your ignorance but I think my friends up above have taken care of alot of it for me. Educate yourself before you make arguments.

How would you feel if someone decided to torture you, just because that is just the way your life is going to be. You’re going to eat, play, sleep and then be killed. I mean, “that’s just your life, it’s what you do.”
Oh, and how could I forget, this was the best part….

I know this is a bit late, but I must say…
cHickens for KFC don’t play. I am not saying they are too dumb to play, I am saying that they don’t have Room to play!! They are stuffed in a cage almost too small for one to turn around in, but in masses! Their “lives” include sitting uncomfortably in tiny little cages. No play.
But at least they have the sun on their backs like Mr. Anonymous said right? Then again so did prisoners at a concentration camp so I guess maybe life in a camp wasn’t so bad was it? lol That type of ignorance is so common it makes me ashamed of being human.
If you place a chicken in front of a small child, he/she will play with it.. if you place a chicken in front of a lion, he/she will kill it. that simple. We have a very complex, long intestinal system, for vegetarian diets.. with meat it actually rots in our stomachs, taking days to digest. Whereas carnivores have very simple short, non-twisted intestines for quick digestion.
