I think this is may be the only effective mechanism to try to address gun violence. Maybe if we could get all the community vigils to coalesce around one event we could start some momentum. It’s truly an uphill battle because the gun lobby is so powerful and the victims of this epidemic are so weak. But, perhaps Margaret Mead was right. Never doubt that a group of truly committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that really can.
