THE PITCH

The sale of the Cubs is an unprecedented opportunity to use technology to involve fans and make baseball more interactive.

By contributing to this campaign, you are buying partial ownership in the Cubs should the Tribune Co. accept our bid. You will not be charged unless the bid is successful.

Should we win, we will build the first baseball team that is managed by the Internet. Instead of passively watching the Cubs on T.V., fans will log into a website where they will vote on the upcoming play.

A fan’s voting power will be influenced by the outcome. If they vote on the correct play and the result is favorable to the Cubs, they will have more influence in future votes. If the result is unfavorable, they lose influence.

The plan will develop as the campaign grows. Please contribute your ideas to the discuss below.
