  • Hell yeah, I’m in.

  • Just added a Digg story for this campaign:
    http://digg.com/movies/Terminator_4_R_Rated_Cam…

  • The Ratings game has destroyed too many film-goer fantasies preventing our favorite stories from coming to true cinematic fruition.

  • I LOVE the Terminator Movies

  • I do not see how they could possibly release it as PG 13… I mean, just the IMAGE of the terminator alone would place the movie in the R category at least by MY STANDARDS.

I personally think there is a LOT of STUFF on TV right now that is RATED PG-13 which should really be RATED R.

Stuff should not be against the LAW as in CENSORSHIP, just rather “rated” more appropriately as to serve what the INTENT of the SERVICE is for…

I know this is a COMMENT I made is based on a different ANGLE than what you are RAISING ISSUE ABOUT. I understand where you are coming from though ~ YOU, being one who WANTS that “HEAVY DUTY R-RATED CONTENT in the feature” . I think that’s what you are saying if I am reading it correctly.
(I understand and respect your position)

In the NAME of the INNOCENT child who needs proper guidance and nurturring in life to rise to be the TRUE PERSON the child can be, I hope you can value the moti0on of what I am getting at with relation to the notion that the STANDARDS or “ratings” if you will are not STRICT enough.
(I would say the same about the FERTILIZER and COSMETIC regulations as well.)

It seems like alot of stuff in our society is “overly tripped out”

  • hopefully jessica alba will be in it!

  • Terminator 3 was a travesty beyond travesties for reasons too numerous to list here, but obviously in the forefront was its subdued nature due to the studio’s forcing a PG-13 rating on it. This self-imposed censorship to attempt to draw more bank at the expense of the quality of the film cannot be allowed to continue. Studios, I implore you to look beyond the box office and consider the staying power of a film. Terminator 2 will live on in everyone’s memory as one of the best action films of all time. Terminator 3 is already a forgotten footnote in the annals of sci-fi action. Give us a film worthy of the name Terminator, and we will continue watching it for decades to come.

  • I’ll post the link on facebook. you should also create a facebook group or something.

  • if not rated R like the originals, why even make it. itll be a disgrace if PG-13

  • The first two terminator films are the reason i’m a film maker… PLEASE! RATE IT R! MAKE MY DREAM FUTURE WAR FILM!

  • pg-13???? no fing way they could ruin terminator

  • the governator must not act like a girly man!

  • To those in charge: Have some balls and give us a dark, gritty post-apocalyptic vision. Not more of that piss-poor comic relief crap they tried in T3. Make me believe that it’s a genocide.

  • I’m getting sick and tired of studios watering down well-known and highly successful franchise just so they can “pander” to the “kiddie” audience. Nothing but a plot to make money rather than something of artistic value. It’s gotta stop. WHEN IS IT GONNA STOP?!?!?!?!?!?!?

  • Neil,

I understand what you’re saying, but this campaign is strictly about getting a harsh, gritty, post-apocalyptic T4, not an ostensible mission to change the current ratings system.

You may want to start your own cause if you feel the ratings system is failing us.

  • the big problem here is the fact that the distributor 20th century fox has been revisiting old classics (die hard, combining alien and predator franchises) and giving them the Pg-13 rating in order to once again juice more money out.
an R rating limits the age range of 12 to 17 and in most cases these movies have fans of those ages

even worse the success of die hard 4 will give them even more incentive to believe that a pg-13 rating would do good business

its a shame, b/c i personally think its a hack way of trying to get money and its destroying old action classics that i love

  • Has anyone notified sites like Ain’t It Cool – or promoted the campaign on Terminator message boards?

  • Hey Alex,

    Here’s what I’ve posted:

    Ain’t It Cool

    Rotten Tomatoes

    IMDB

IMDB needs a bump, and we definitely need more board posts.
