The UbuMama project includes educational workshops and meetings with trained midwives/ health advisors. Through this project, the women in each community also create a garment that illustrates the image of birthing in their community and a hope for a better future. The garment, each woman’s personal story and a message to the world are then contributed to the UbuMama traveling exhibit, which is used to raise awareness and support by broadcasting the authentic voice of UbuMama participants.

This year, the women’s ice hockey teams at Yale University, Princeton University and Quinnipiac University have launched awareness and fundraising campaigns on their respective campuses to support WRA member organizations in Bangladesh and Yemen.

Quinnipiac has nearly met the $5000 fundraising goal to ensure the participation of women in Bangladesh. With your support, they can meet this goal!
