- THE PITCH

We all know by now that Sam Zell is offering to sell the naming rights to our beloved Wrigley Field. As a billionaire, we might hope that Zell would transcend his instinct for accumulating more cash at any cost – but that does not seem to be the case.
In an effort to get Zell to maintain the naming rights of Wrigley Field, let’s put some personal pressure on him by letting him feel our disdain for his greed at the expense of our tradition.
Actions:
- chant “Wrigley, Wrigley, Wrigley” repeatedly when you see Sam Zell in public
- ask Zell to leave your establishment if he seeks to patron a business you own
- write an email to Sam at his apparent email address: sam_zell@hotmail.com
- write a letter every day to Sam at the Tribune HQs: Tribune Company, 435 North Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL 60611
- call the Tribune and ask to talk to Zell about Wrigley at 312.222.9100

There’s another campaign for those interested to have the Wrigley Field name staying as Wrigley Field or otherwise people will boycott the Chicago Tribune.
The campaign is here.
