20 million people. This is the goal. If we can coordinate an effort that has 20 million people stop buying gas from one oil company, the entire industry will listen.
We’re a petroleum based economy. But we can’t continue to stand by and watch commodity traders run ruffshod over our wallets while they make billions. We need to put some downside fear into the market or the speculators will continue to bid up the price of a barrel of oil.
Oil traders need to know that they cannot continue to drive prices higher without consequences. And while we can’t stop buying gas all together, we can make a point by simply avoiding a single company.
So why Exxon Mobile? Record profits. Thats it. If we’re going to make a point here we have to do it in a big way. Lets start with Exxon Mobile.
Exxon Mobile won’t believe it. They will think it can’t be organized, but they will be surprised when their stations volume suddenly drops. They will begin to lower thier prices. the traders will see downward pressure in the market and bid dowm the price of a barrel. Traders will hedge prices down and the price at the pump will fall.
