Basically Sears of all people are running a misleading scam on consumers. I purchased a mini needlenose plier from them and the package says that the tool has a lifetime warrranty. In reality it is only warranted for defects not use. So the old days of if it says craftsman and it breaks are history. Never mind what the package says. I was told that even though the tool is stamped as “craftsman” it is really a cheapie made in China item (no warranty if it breaks) lifetime indeed. Sears should be sued for false and misleading warranty statements. They should remove the name craftsman from all products that do not conform to the craftsman standard and they should put accurate warranty information on the package, like “limited warranty”!
