    Hi Everyone who joined the campaign, and thank you so much for taking part. I waited to send this message until after the due date I set for the campaign in case some more people might join in the mean time, but it looks like it’s now time to talk about getting the money down to Armando.

    Here are the details to send money to Armando with Western Union:

    If you’re more comfortable mailing me a check you can do so, and I will send a bundle via Western Union (this might save some fees). I’m going to send the money today though, in a few hours, so it would be important for me to know very soon how much you are going to send me a check for. If I hear from you, I can spot you the money for now – I’ll wire money today and cash your check when I get it. I’d also need you to put that check in the mail in no more than a few days.     All told, 7 people pledged $20, that means $140 total. I’m able to give more than $20, and maybe some of you can as well. It still may be less than we had hoped for, but I’m sure Armando will be very grateful!

    is it still too late to send the money….how much is the total amount that is needed again?

    Hi Claudia,

    Total Armando needed 4,000 quetzales as of about 3 weeks ago, that’s something like $540. All together I think we got most of it, if the other people on the point did send in the money they had pledged. I’m sure the school could use a little more if you can spare some though. The problem is that Armando is pretty difficult to get in touch with, so if you sent in some money after the big bunch, I’m not sure when he would find out about it and pick it up. If you still interested, here is his contact info:

    If you just send it online, it may just ask for his full name, city, and country (not the code).
