For those of us who whole-heartedly embrace this campaign, forwarding the invite is just one of the ways to support it. You can also download a copy of the petition and distribute it in your community on bulletin boards, by canvasing your neighborhood, and letters to your editors. By visiting the link listed in the campaign discussion, you can sign the petition and at the same time send an email to your congressional representatives. Every little bit counts!

I just discovered that the 1937 Marijuana Tax Act was overturned by Congress in 1969. I apologize for the oversight, (apparently I didn’t read far enough into the material) and would like to encourage everyone to join another campaign here on The Point. Make Hemp A National Issue needs our support to raise awareness about the benefits of growing industrial hemp. http://www.thepoint.com/campaigns/make-hemp-a-national-issue/
For those of us who wish to stay informed about the issue, I discovered a great website that is loaded with information and resources on industrial hemp:

Lets make industrial hemp a national issue in 2009 and empower farmers with environmentally sound options!
