Erik Ramseth replied on Oct 12, 2009Dump Zorn (even though he’s “such a nice guy” or whatever…), put Campbell, Haynesworth, Hall, Portis, etc. on notice that without marked improvement in individual performances (Campbell holding onto the ball better, Haynesworth in on more downs, Hall actually tackling opposing players on key plays, Portis actually breaking tackles, etc…), they’ll be put on the proverbial street…

Erik Ramseth replied on Oct 12, 2009On second thought, just hire a competent football guy and let him run the show.

Erik Ramseth replied on Oct 12, 2009On third thought, just blow it up and rebuild. Change the name (and make tons of activists happy), change the uni’s (but keep the colors), I don’t know why you couldn’t keep the logo, fire the coach, GM, and nullify all contracts and make everyone fight for their job.

Edward Dunn replied on Oct 12, 2009Get rid of Zorn and Campbell…get some big receivers and an Offensive line. Too bad you can’t fire an owner.
-
Ali Mohamadi replied on Oct 12, 2009Blow up the whole thing and start from the beginning. Teams that did it the right way (the Falcons and Jets, for example) are able to have success immediately. IF they hire the right people and IF the owners get the hell out of the way!

Anonymous replied on Oct 13, 2009Hire a GM 1st and foremost. Give said GM total control. Give this project a minimum of 4 years. Building through the draft and developing players.

Bharat Chatani replied on Oct 13, 2009Dude campbell is a good quaterback, just the coach is dumb as hell, he needed to be an o corrdinator before a head coach. u NEED TO LEARN HOW TO CRAWL BEFORE YOU SPRINT. i mean gibbs believed in campbell so we cant give up on him, cause he has amazing potential, he just needs weapons and a decent coach, and to be in the same system for more than two years.
So, keep campbell, fire zorn, hire a gm, and hire either bill cower or beg greg williams to come back.
GO C-LOS!!!!!!!!!!!!
U DA MAN

Matthew Berry replied on Oct 13, 2009I’d get rid of Campbell. We’re gonna have a high draft pick and this is a deep quarterback class coming in the draft. Also an owner that let’s the head coach have control over personnel. Also, fire Vinny!

Benjamin Hoffman replied on Oct 13, 2009Oh, and I’d start by firing Vinny, Zorn, Blache, Campbell and Portis. Then I’d use the entire draft to rebuild the offensive and defensive lines.

Steve Messeh replied on Oct 13, 2009OL! OL! OL! Start in the trenches. Build up the 2 lines and the skill players will fall into place.
-
Zachary D. Crowe replied on Oct 13, 2009BUILD THROUGH THE DRAFT. OFFENSIVE LINE, OFFENSIVE LINE AND MORE OFFENSIVE LINE. SYSTEM AND COACHES FIRST, PLAYERS SECOND.

Andy Waskow replied on Oct 13, 2009First thing I would do is hire Chris Polian VP of Player personnell for the Colts and give him the keys to the franchise and whatever he wants to run this team. (Doubt Indy would let this happen b/c he basically makes all of the calls for his dad there anyway)
Let him decide who stays and who goes.I’m sure he would work on the OL first

Trey Hampshire replied on Oct 13, 2009Fire Cerrato day 1, minute 1, second 1.
Hire a GM & Coach – Shanahan or Holmgren would do….with total control of personnel for (3) years.
Trade Clinton Portis for draft picks (it’s time for him and his mouth to go to Oakland, Cleveland or Buffalo).
Bring in youthful linemen through the draft, while plugging some holes via free agency – this is the top priority.
Keep Campbell, but bring in a backup via free agency to push him (look in the draft for a 3rd stringer to cultivate – Colt Brennan in not NFL caliber)
Dump any and all high cap players next year before the new CBA is in place……It’s time we start anew – Samuels, R. Thomas, C. Portis, A. Haynesworth and the rest of the overpaid posse need to go (I really like Samuels, but he’s done)……begin looking at the bigger picture, like winning organizations, by building depth and talent through the draft. At least if we know that we’re rebuilding, we can feel good about the future……right now it’s just a bunch of preseason rhetoric followed by season after season of mediocrity.
Rant done.
