THE PITCH

Musicians can maintain music profiles on MySpace. These differ from regular profiles in that they have a built-in music player and a tour calendar.
Unfortunately, existing profiles cannot be converted into music profiles. Instead, MySpace forces you to create a blank music profile and re-build that profile from scratch by add existing friends from the old profile.
This seems unneccessary and says something about how this company values its users.

If enough users in a similar situation threaten to terminate their MySpace accounts and create a band profile on e.g. Facebook, hopefully MySpace will reconsider this policy.
