  • Even if a hundred million people join, do you think sending letters is going to create the tipping point on this issue?

With a hundred million people, it feels like there could be something more decisive that you could do to force your position.

Anyone have ideas for other forms of action?

  • Honestly, no I do not. As the campaign organizer I would love to hear better ideas as to what would force them to make this action. By the way, I loved your video explaining the purpose of thepoint.com. This issue is actually the first that came to mind. Thank you for letting this issue be addressed on your website :)

    P.S. I’m also a web developer.

  • Drake Alexander Anderson

i feel 100 million ppl can change anything…. and i really hope this works out… we need to make up flyers to join, cards, anything we need to get tha word out on tha streets to collect more ppl….

  • Weed is not like any other drug.. Drunk drivers when do u here a driver on weed crashing and killin people? Help The man join the clan… LEAGILISE IT!!!!

  • I say we go down to the White House and protest like these Nazis I saw on t.v. :D It’s just an idea.

  • i think that the posters and shit that drake recomended is a great idea. and when we get 100 mill, we send the letter…and if they blow us off, i think marching on down to the white house, like kevin said, would be a good plan, peaceful protest has helped make some of the most influencial changes in history…look at MLK jr. 100 million stoners gathering around the white house? they have to listen to us then!

  • I think that if we can get 100 million people and prove to the government that 100 million people want it legalized theyd be stupid not to 100 million can screw things up for them prety bad could you imagine 100 million people deciding not to pay there taxes or something like that 100 million is more than enough to seriously cripple the government if they dont listen

  • Thanks, Travis. You think the government would realize by now why we would go through so much trouble to make it legal. Blind politicians. >.>

  • I think that Kevin le is right we need a white house protest. But not only that, we need everyone in the protest to be smoking marijuanna. They cant arrest a hudred million people. But you know what? we realy dont need to do anything at all their is realy no point in all this any more. Massechusets has already decriminalized it. Soon other states will follow. But if you want to protest then that is the best way. Once the rest of the country sees how harmless it realy is then the dominoes will fall I promise you.

  • you could have everyone sign a petition and have all 100 million people march it up to the white house. i dont think they could ignore that many people on the white house lawn.

  • Decriminalization barely scratches the surface. It won’t change the opinion inflicted on the mind of those Americans that still think that marijuana is bad, Daniel.

I have another idea. We can create a flyer composed of facts like from Norml, Xerox a bunch of it (In color to attract people’s attention, of course) and just either hand it out on the streets or post it everywhere so, that people know the REAL facts of marijuana. Letthe record show that I wrote this idea up on the spot and don’t know if this is legal or not.

  • Double post, sorry. My internet lagged. :/

  • Of coarse it only scratches the serface but e verything our government does takes time. but it least soon noone will go to jail over two ounces then soon medicinal and then legalization. Decriminalization will make alot of difference when theres not thousands of people goin to jail for it. soon it will be legalized.

  • some one has to go and appeal to the money making side especialy now with the economy so bad.

  • I guess I have to agree with you, Daniel. Something is better than nothing. :/

Those very companies that made marijuana illegal must’ve regretted their decisions. They could benefit so much from marijuana if they done their research back then.

  • but you never know a protest could speed things up.

  • Ready whenever everyone else is. :D

  • i am 48 years old and have been smoking it since i was twelve. I have been to hemp fests all over the USA. And it all seems fun but in the end i wont be able to see it sold on shelves or in machines legally. It is a shame. But if enough of the younger generation gets together and stand up and fight this they will get it done. But someone needs to lay out the ground work. And do it right.

Prostesting honestly wont work its seen merly as disruption that the police deal with quite often protesting merly shows to public how pushy the dont use drug public services commercls make us out to be
it always says things like they use peer preasure and try to force you into doing something you dont want to we all know thats got nutting to do with canibus itself
just how teens are they dont whana feel alone so they make all thier freinds do everything they do and due to the fact same people that sell it also sell other questionble and truly harmful drugs its not only marked as gate way to worse
but often it will be baught laced in a dirty attemp to get people addicted to more profitable drugs
cuzz we all know in the end only reson that truly stands in the way of it ever being legalized is fact that it if they did it be free thats right free its just to ez to grow anyone at home can do it in thier yard ill grow with no real care like a weed this makes sales on trying to market it fail no ones gona pay for something you can just toss some seeds and walk in your own back yard and pick so pretty much only way they profit from it is to say if you do this we now have right to arrest and fine you thousands in a way they decided that thier gona take what ever they cant profit from
the parts they can profit from they have alredy taken for exaple they have genneticly grown plants that contain no TCH and atuly have anti high affect thats currently being used to create hemp, fule, ect
IM not trying to trash talk Gov. all honesty im faily supportive of it altho saying you cant do something cuzz we cant market it not cool
SOULITION thiers only one i can think of what if it was immpossible to regulate what if it grew everywere in every park every stream every back yard every window planter
not like this would be bad thing honestly its one most ECO freidly plants produces vast amounts of oxygen clears air of harmful pollutains considering the amount trees we chopped cuppled with amount of people were atuly hurting our O2 supply and this plant mile for mile generats more then trees
