Which means you can not drive while hi. Your statement should have been, My cousin is forced to drive while hi because if you stay still and smoke you have a better chance of getting caught. If it were legal we would not have to drive to smoke. It is people like you that ruin the freedom to drink and it is people like you that is going to make the government laugh at this when we get enough people and take this petition to them. Honestly i don’t think marijuana influences driving a great deal, but hes right the idea is to get it legalized and still have it regulated which means if we can get it legalized it should be restricted with driving… but one major issue is that there aren’t breathalyzer THC detectors so without that it is going to be hard for police officers to enforce such a law, and since any one who’s smoked pot a few times knows you can pass field sobriety tests with ease… Marijuana should be legalized because of its medical benefits, lack of negative side effects and because we have filled jails with pot smokers and could make alot of needed economic revenue from the governments sale of cannabis… basically why not legalize it o.O lol

katie is right we need positive publicity on this.i dont care what anyone says marijuana slows reflexes noone has any business driving while high ur not just putting ur life in danger ur putting others in danger as well.and if your underage you shouldnt be on this site any way. children are not gonna help our cause at all for the most part their gonna hurt us. I know that if someone wrecks in to me and kills my daughter and their high they are gonna wish that the accident killed them compared to what i would do.

personaly driving high is stupid. and when you smoke enough it is hard to walk in a straight line. so next time you bake smoke a bit more then try driving. the reason pot isn’t legal yet is because a company couldn’t sell pot and make money because it’s not that hard to grow it. therefor the country wouldn’t make very much money off it.

I’m really sick and tired of this lame paranoid excuse.
You know why?If pot were legal today I STILL WOULDN’T GROW IT because it’s a pain in the ass!!
I just want to be able to walk down to my local coffeeshop or drugstore, look at a menu and buy a bag of weed after work. JUST LIKE AMSTERDAM. Simple. Just like the alcoholics do now – legally. And we all know alcohol is poison that WILL kill you eventually. Pot never has and never will kill anybody.
And you know what? If pot were legal, more people would smoke it, but we would all smoke less of it. Why? Because you wouldn’t have to stock up in order to make less frequent purchases like you do now. When you have a lot of weed around, you smoke a lot more of it. In Amsterdam you can only purchase 5 grams at a time. I also smoked less because the quality was fantastic and the weight or “count” was always spot on. Plus, you have a menu of various types of pot AND hash. I haven’t seen hash in this country in 20 years!!
But beyond all that, AND NACK TO MY ORIGINAL POINT: it’s so much more convenient to buy pot in a store than it is to grow it. Most people I know buy all their veggies AT THE SUPERMARKET. They could easily grow their own, but they don’t. Why????

So please, please get off this argument that some company won’t be able to sell pot because we can grow it ourselves. That’s all bullshit.
The reason it’s illegal is because law enforcement makes LOTS OF MONEY for their coffiers by arresting and fining pot smokers while they take the confiscated evidence and resell it on the streets or smoke it themselves. Free weed is always nice.
The only way to get weed legal is to expose the real criminals and see to it that they lose their jobs. Police, judges, legislators – get rid of them all.
Get out and vote for legislators who support legalization. Go meet them and make sure that the only question you ask of them is “Do you support legalization of marijuana, yes or no?”
If they say no, then tell them that they just lost your vote and you don’t need to hear their position on any other matter. And then walk away. And back it up at the polls. None of the candidates support legalization? Then tell them all that you will not be voting at all this year. That will really get their attention.

I think we should all stop fighting and actually try to get people to come to this site and join this capaign. I mean im 15 and i bet most of the people on here are over 20 but i dont care, ive already put a campaign link for this on my myspace….wich didnt work very well and on another site i have. Im not saying its right to drive high because thats fuckin retarded and nobody should put other people in danger because they just wanna get high and have fun but we dont need to spend time arguing about this when we could spend that time getting people to join. I think this daniel has a very good point and we need to make our government realize this so we can live in peace and smoke our weed.

like tyler, im underage. im 16 and i really hope this works. Marijuana should have never been illegal in the first place, that is the stupidest move the DEA ever did. the federal government is bullshit. the state government is still changable, like in california. they have legal weed but STILL the DEA break into their shops, take EVERY bit of stuff they can find whether it b a bunch of FREE weed called “evidence” and a bunch of bongs and pipes. shit if i had the chance, i would grow myself enough weed to last a year. its an expensive and patient project 2 do and it takes a brain, but overall it doesnt look all that hard. but aside from all the bullshit arguments, lets all spread the word to our Stoner brothers and sisters to join this campaign and let our voices be heard!!! this has gone on long enough and its time 2 be able 2 light a joint or a bowl and not get in trouble for it! i wish i could go outside and smoke a joint but i cant, not without getting stopped by sum punk ass pig thats just gonna steal my weed. Well it is quite obvious that the underage kids should not be smoking. This is not a fight it is a chat about how we should go about making this legal. Here is a statement for the underagers on this this site. Thank you for your support it is much needed and appreicated but lets face it you can’t vote so what makes you think you opinion is gonna count here? So please do our leg work and our recruiters…. Do your research, spreed the word, and bring people to the site. For other stuff the old heads need to step in and take charge. I know all you old heads are sitting back shacking your heads at these new age “stoners”. Well why don’t you old heads smoke with the young punks and show them how it really is. i know alot of people have said this but its jus the government havin all of us live by what they (‘they’ being mostly upperclass/professional white people) consider moral. i HOPE we are jus in a long prohibition period n in the history books they’ll look at it the same way we look at when alcohol was illegal. i truly believe the only reason the government doesnt want to legalize marijuana is because the benefit from it much more n have less problems this way. IF weed was legalize they would lose alot of $ from fines n bonds they recieve when they catch drug dealers n possesion charges , also we all must know that as corupt our system is some one with a high rank is somewhere makin deals with drug dealers in order for it 2 get into the country. shyt if some one told me ’ hey imma take 8 trucks of drugs thru n ill pay u $$$$$ n the otha 1 or 2trucks ill let u deal wit ….. take a truck n wit the other b a hero for stop a truck of drug from passin’ id same hell yah money drugs AND recognition for being a ‘hero’ . plus all the people that would oppose it for bein ‘immoral’ or ‘harmful’ . we all know that alcohol gives worse effects than weed. n yes we can get cancer from smokin weed since they say 1 joint does as much damage as a pack of ciggarettes but i dont see any laws restricting how many packs of those u can smoke.

Okay. i agree with tyler. i am a fellow ganja smoker, but i dont smoke because i think it cool. i smoke because its like a medication. And FYI did any of you know that rastas, when they are born are getting high. the parents light it up and let the baby be inside the smoke. For the people who are just doing this petition because they think weed is cool then you people are not as smart as you think. And the only reason ,well the reason i believe bud is illegal is because the government can not make a profit. And just to get this off my chest. In the beginning of the declaration of independents it states. “We the people”. For those of you who don’t know what that truly means is we as the citizens of america are supposed to be the ones who make the laws. ok sorry but i have a few more things to add. marijuana is also a great health benefit. it can reduce the risk of breast cancer. and lowers anxiety and all sorts of other physical and mental problems that we as people, and i mean everyone has. you might not think you have problem but just sit down for a few minutes and look yourself over. do you have mood swing. do you get mad easily. what ever the cause marijuana can and will help.
