I feel that a bunch of younger potheads blogging about how much they love smoking isn’t going to be what makes marijuana legal. I fall under this category, I’m 17 and I love burnin blunts, but if we are to really try to use this to our advantage, we have to stop acting like stoners and actually act like smart, educated, productive members of society. If the government could see that marijuana usage attracts intelligent people as well, maybe their perspective will change.
I firmly believe in taking action which is why I have participated in many protests and petitions. For each one that I have been in, the speakers have never been like “Yeah man, weed is sick. Smokin it is like pretty cool, I like gettin ripped and munchin out” It’s been more along the lines of pointing out the flaws in our laws of how tobacco and alcohol, both bigger killers than marijuana, remain safe to use and marijuana is banned.
California has made a huge step in legalizing it for medicinal purposes, but I feel that perhaps it should be legal for recreational use as well, but that’s another bump in the road that will take a long time to drive over.
For now, our best bet is to ask everyone we know to participate in this. And to continue smoking everyday.

You are absolutely correct. We need to stop referring to it as Pot, Weed, Reefer, etc. It’s Marijuana, and if any one is going to take this petition seriously, we need to call it by it’s correct name. We must act intelligent. Also, I am sure we all want it legalized for recreational use, but the first step is medicinal… and that’s what we need to focus on.
