I haven’t bought Coke products in quite a while, but now I won’t even drink them if they’re provided.

Ryan Kinderman replied on Mar 6, 2008I’d think Coke would get a lot of revenue from the eating establishments that have deals with them to provide only Coke products. We might want to consider the impact of eating at these places.

Chin Yuen replied on Mar 11, 2008Hahaha! Hey, I like this ultimatum. After all, I don’t mind cutting down on my Coke intake for health concerns. :)

Raymond Washington replied on Mar 11, 2008I agree with Ryan and given the explanation of the T.A. Coca-Cola is not just a soda brand. Most restaurants are contracted to Coca-Cola to serve it on tap and generate revenue for them (T.G.I.F., McDonald’s, etc.)

Susanne Donovan replied on Mar 18, 2008Coke at Mc Donalds? So, the answer is not to eat at McDonalds since they are quite guilty of many crimes against humanity as well as the poor cows. Such as plowing down the rainforest in South America to house the cows. How many cows in one burger? The answer is to do the right thing in the right direction and be kind to all people. Change is good. :)

Aaron With replied on Mar 18, 2008Thanks everyone for the comments. I’m glad there are ideas for other actions to target Coca-Cola. My suggestion is, let’s tip this thing and see what happens. If more serious action is required, we can start a dialog about what the most appropriate action would be to follow up, perhaps targeting larger restaurant chains that have exclusive Coca-Cola deals as has been suggested. Of course, anyone could launch that campaign before this tips & begin promoting it right away if you think its a good action to supplement this one.

Greg Robins replied on Mar 22, 2008I pretty much boycott them anyway (could Dasani stand for Devil and Satan Aqua Nutrient Inc.?), but I’ll avoid them 100% if this tips.

Anonymous replied on Jul 29, 2008Everybody knows that Coke is bad for you. It turns rusty old pennies into shiny new ones. It turns shiny new teeth into rusty old ones. And if you drink it with pop rocks you will explode.
Wow, I hope this is a joke (the pop rocks part, that is, it is an urban legend). And FYI, Coke is better for your teeth than eating an apple or orange (actually not hard to be fair, fruit in general is horrible for your teeth)
Of course, this campaign is about possible murders, not health, so I’m joining, I just didn’t like that first paragraph

Anonymous replied on Sep 5, 2008I’ve been boycotting Coke for a few years now. I’m sure it makes a profound impact, if not economically, socially on the server when you ask whether they serve Pepsi or Coke products and order water when they answer, “Coke.” The economical impact may not be too extreme in any sense, but hopefully Coca Cola will actually do something about being the Exxon/Walmart/McDonald’s of the beverage industry.
