Thanks for the support, guys. I just want to give a quick explanation for why this isn’t happening. I’m not usually one to let others dictate what music I make, but I hadn’t even begun hashing out a deal with Gary. I was informed by our mutual friend that he would require at least $5,000 up front. There is still a good chance that I would have spent a considerable amount of my own money, and frankly my time and resources are better used creating my own music to give away for free, which I have been doing a great deal of over the past several years. I don’t feel the need to constantly defend my work, and yet that is precisely what some of these people expect of me. If I can get Mr. Coleman to make a record for a major share of the profits, I will. However, I would prefer to have this go down without having to beg for money.
