- THE PITCH

As a sixteen year old soon-to-be-senior in high school, I know many people who will be eligible to vote come November. many of them, however, will not. But there are a few minors that not only wish to vote, but know more and are more passionate about politics than even their parents. These minors would be able to replace those young voters lost to apathy or laziness.
The conditions would be something like the fact that the minor but be at least 16, must have parental permission or register under a parent’s name, and be able to prove they know enough about current affairs, the candidates, and what it takes to elect a president.
The major goal would be to obtain a constitutional amendment; but even state-by-state would be a victory. And even if nothing is accomplished in time for this year’s election, if we are able to get even a few minors eligible, it would be a great thing for politically passionate teenagers everywhere.

Thank you for joining my campaign and being passionate enough about this issue to finally do something. Too often have many minors hoped and prayed and wished for the ability to vote, while eligible voters sat idly by. With your help we could open up an entirely new voter demographic and hopefully end the generation of apathy.
Please email this to all of your friends and any interested parties.
Thank you,
