The Ogiek are a group of hunters and gatherers who live in the Mau forest in Kenya’s Right Valley. This tribe has a population of about 20,000. With globalization, they face the possibility of becoming extinct. This project is meant to raise money to buy a video camera and support a basic training that will enable them make stories about themselves that can be used to educate the world about these almost forgotten people. It’s also a way of them to keep in pictures their lives and record a heritage, culture and tradition that might not be existing in a few years.
