  This campaign is growing too slowly and I think
  I know why. I’ve tried to invite friends whom I
  know will make pledges, but they are not getting
  the invitations. I’ve sent the invitations twice and even included myself (using another email address) the second time, but the messages do not arrive. Has anyone else sent out invitations and verified they were received, whether or not the recipient choose to pledge? Try sending out one now to yourself, preferable to another email address if you have one, or to a friend you can ask for verification. If I’m not the only one whose
  invitations are not really going out, then this campaign is not going to make its tipping point!

  Yes, I can confirm that invitations that I previously sent did arrive – I talked directly to the people I sent them to, and some of them did join.

  I also just now sent 6 more separately, 2 to alternate email addresses of my own and 4 to other people, and I confirmed that all of them did arrive.

  Another friend of mine said that she sent out several invitations and suspected that people were not receiving them due to the low response. However, after talking to a handful of those people it turned out that they all did receive the invitations; they just didn’t choose to join the campaign.
