Unfortunately, unorthodox lawmaking is now the standard. Congress was originally designed to be a deliberative, not decisive, process. Human nature has twisted the process so badly the only way to get legislation passed is to severely shortcut the original process. The result is a terrible loss of deliberation, transparency to citizens and accountability.

This is on top of a special interest-driven environment of big business and lobbies encouraging Congressmen and the President to all but ignore what most Americans feel or say about legislation.

The site ‘creates’ democracy by allowing you to literally ‘vote’ on any piece of legislation being considered by Congress. E-VotingBooth.com then submits ‘election results’ to Congress and the President.

You can vote at any time on any bill, you’re not tied to the committee/hearing/voting schedule of any bill. In addition, e-VotingBooth.com’s first enhancement to the website, being developed now and available before the election, is the Voting Scorecard. It will compare elected officials’ votes right alongside your personal votes. For example, if you find a Representative, Senator or President voted AGAINST your votes 90% of the time you are far more likely to vote AGAINST him or her for re-election than if they had voted 90% WITH you.”

Using the site is a very simple process: setup a free account, select a bill, click “Yes” or “No” and then the “submit” button. The website sends the total votes for each bill to the entire Congress and president to inform them. You are free to vote on one, or all, bills in Congress.
