• any suggestions on how this would work?

    ie. how many "slots’.

my suggestion is saturday afternoon starting at 12:30.

(hmm. pretty brutal with a hangover. P&H’s wouldn’t want anything to cut into their liquor sales).

well on that note, how about calling it “the walk of shame”

  • early afternoon sounds great-there will probably be MORE liquor sales for P&H. Opinions needed!

  • so far i count 4 slots, myself (Robert Emmett/Labrador Dali), Alguno Chalado, Day Drug, the Radials…
maybe it would be a good idea for us to share some equipment (like a communal drumset) just to save on downtime between acts.
Kevin Day and I were also talking about for the end of this thing, maybe getting everyone involved to all play one song together (with permission from the bands we were thinking along the lines of “good guys and bad guys”)

  • that sounds great to me, i really appreciate the chance to play, so could we do 1/2 hour sets depending on time? we have plenty of material to play as long as we can but 1/2 hour sets for each band would probably work pretty smoothly….course what ever is decided we’ll be happy with, thanks

  • what a great opportunity!!
    - i like the idea of 1/2 hour sets – gives the players a chance to stretch out a little – maybe 20mins would help give some time to change out players

also like holding it on Saturday at High Noon – we could get in 2 1/2 hours of music by 3:30 – leaving room to get the stage ready for the evening – i guess that would be five bands –
maybe if there is more demand we could do friday and saturday 12 – 3:30.

we could do an acoustic line up and save time/effort setting up and messing with a drum kit – could help get more people on stage quickly – certainly share a drum kit if possible and/or required -

    questions:
    - should the bands submit demos?
    - or should it be an open mic type event?
(might be good to have some quality control – i know there are some real hardworking and deserving bands out there, would love to see them on stage – although i am not against an open mic line up – come one come all may be the most fair)

DL thanks for the consideration – thinking about even a chance to play in pi-town is amazing!!!
