As a fan of Cracker and CVB and a Campout perfomer. I urge all friends of The Hickman LeRoy SongBook and Death of Me to join the campaign and attend the 4th Annual Campout. There is no festival like it!

Tom Scharff replied on Jan 10, 2008I would like to suggest Los Lobos, Dead Rock West, Howe Gelb, and Mother Hips as bands who would be great additions to the event. I would also look forward to the return of Ike Reilly, Jason Molina/Magnolia Electric Co, ted quinn, Rojer Arnold Band, and Sean Kennedy. OF COURSE I would LOVE to get the chance to see MONKS OF DOOM, and I hope and assume that Victor, Jon, and Gerg will play solo sets!?!

Arielle Haze replied on Jan 10, 2008This is my favorite event of the entire year, and I talk about it all year. I wear my camp-out shirts all the time. Everyone knows me as the girl who goes to the Cracker Camper Camp-Out! Haha. Anyhow, my boyfriend & I have 100% committed. We have a room at the Pi-Town Motel already.
Also, I’d like to suggest bringing Roger Clyne back too (I can get 100% from 2 other people if he’s there). I would like to suggest Jason Webley too. He’s awesome live and totally would fit with the vibe of the camp-out. He’s got a myspace music site, so please consider him!!! He’s touring the country, but with advance notice, I can’t imagine him not wanting to do this!

jason switzer replied on Jan 10, 2008looking forward once again, to our favorite time of year. jan and i have the john wayne suite booked at the joshua tree inn. i hope the railbenders make it back this year and darkmeat too. we’d love to see
lucinda williams or buddy miller but, it’s not likely . los lobos would be great as well. i would gladly offer to play for free as i’m sure other
musician/fans would. see y’all there!

Grant Wilcox replied on Jan 10, 2008I’ll definitely be there once again. Although it might be impossible, I’ve always thought Alejandro Escovedo would make a great addition to the campout lineup. And, Victoria Williams should always be included.
