Cracker and Camper Van Beethoven veteran indie rock- alt-country- alternative bands will perform at the 4th annual Campout in Pioneertown California Sept 11th-13th 2008 if they get a minimum of 150 people to commit to attending the festival by July 1st 2008.
In the past we have judged the viability of each festival by putting advance tickets on sale. Due to setup of the festival and the venue the bands realize there is not an incentive to buy tickets very far in advance. This makes planning for the festival difficult.
It is our hope that by getting a commitment from 150 people to attend the festival this will eliminate some of the uncertainty involved in budgeting and planning the festival.
We have set the number of commitments fairly low this time because we realize most people are unfamiliar with doing things this way. (next year we may raise the number)
