Throughout history, many of the world's best and most accomplished figures excelled in their respective crafts only after embracing cutting-edge video analysis. Famous video-feedback users include:

  • Tiger Woods
  • Oprah
  • Stevie Wonder
  • Mr. Holland from Mr. Holland's Opus
  • Alexander Graham Bell

Without using slow-motion replay to identify and correct their flaws, these men and women would be either completely unknown, known but not well known, or deceased. If you're interested in joining this list, and you're a golfer, keep reading about a great deal on PGA-certified video swing analysis at CityGolf Boston.

Details

Today's Groupon gets you a one-hour video swing-analysis session at CityGolf Boston for only $50 (normally $100 or $125 depending on your instructor). Head down to 38 Bromfield St. to learn insider tips from PGA-certified pros. Don't golf? Give a Groupon to dad, mom, significant other, a coordinated child, someone else's significant other, a creepy uncle, the man with golf-club arms, or Ted Danson.

The training session—taught by one of the five golf pros at CityGolf—will help you improve your swing using feedback from state-of-the-art Dartfish video analysis. The nuances of your stroke will be captured on film and dissected using a series screenshots and slow-motion replays. CityGolf will even compare your mechanics to the mechanics of PGA Tour pros and upload the video analysis with instructor notes to the Internet. For a sample, click here.

Reviews

Boston magazine named CityGolf Boston's Gary Parker the Best of Boston 2007 Golf Pro.

Four Yelpers give CityGolf 3.5 stars. Here's what they're saying:

  • CityGolf is a wonderful idea for those of us who live in the city and may not be able to easily get to a driving range or course. I found the staff to be very friendly and the physical plant to be tidy and clean. – Peg. P
  • CityGolf is a great place to go if you want to knock some balls around or get a few lessons to brush up on your game. – James W.
  • The biggest plus to the store is its location if you work downtown. You can run in and pick up golf balls or a new glove in a pinch. The indoor hitting bays are also a plus. – Scott M.
