One might assume that in winter, the dome would retain some sort of snow cover (depending on engineering and design, specific angles of slope, friction of material surface and total altitude).. Would a dome-top ski and snowboard resort OVER Chicago be out of the question (and possibly a way to recoup some of the costs of construction and maintenance long-term)?…
As a Midwest beacon of snowgoing fun, could this eventually become a profit center, shared with the city and all original funding participants?
