    It’s worth at least $50

  • With a dome we can win the war on terror, too … and keep the UFO’s out, as well. Infinite potential! We could even project the superbowl on it.

  • If you find a way to fit Rogers Park in there, I’ll up it to $200.

  • It’s January, it’s cold, let’s do it!

  • What about the vitamin D deficiency that the Great Lakes region is notorious for? Can we use an array of mirrors at the top of the dome that focuses a greater concentration of sunlight on Gotham to counteract our S.A.D.? I mean, Chicago?

  • I think this upside-down mixing bowl idea can only improve upon what they already did to Soldier Field.

  • Cryophobia: An abnormal and persistent fear of cold, including cold weather and cold objects. Sufferers from cryophobia experience anxiety even though they realize their fear is irrational. To avoid cold, they may live in a warm climate, dress more warmly than necessary, stay indoors on cold days, and avoid cold foods and ice cubes.
Or they come up with a silly idea to build a dome over one of the greatest cold-weather citites in the world. If you don’t like Chicago winters move to the south.

    “Go back to Russia!”

  • It’s critical to my wife and me that the dome increases natural energy supplies to Chicago via solar and wind and even water (via run-off) sources.

  • Chris H—

Lighten up! Do you really think they are serious about creating a dome over Chicago? Did you not read the article? Sure, it says that it’s real, but let’s use some common sense here. Airplane shaped holes to allow access by flight? Do you really think that’s possible, Chris?

Also, you don’t put any money down until the TIPPING POINT is reached—the whole purpose of this website. So no, nobody’s going to be doing any suing any time soon.

So, Chris H, relax. Get a sense of humor. Or, better yet, you should probably just not comment any more on any articles.

  • I like winter, but domes are cool.
