When they get angry they hit me, unmerciful they are. They leave me hurt , wounded chained all alone. I am so sad. so frightened. I need some one to come and rescue me from this torrment and awful painful living conditions- if you call this living. My living quarters are dirty, cramped, cold. They take my babies away from me. I don’t know where they are. I miss them. I don’t feel well. I don’t want to play with the ball anymore, or stand on my head, its so uncomfortable, or sit up at the ring master’s command and whip. I just want to go somewhere quite and peaceful with my baby and my own kind. And be free. Would you be so kind as to help me and others like me forced to live this horriable way of life, to find a way to escape this lonely , cruel life? To be and live as my Creator meant for me and others like me. Please hear my weeping and come to my rescue".

The fact that human beings even find this kind of “not” entertainment worth paying for and laughing over just sickens me. I don’t understand the point of having elephants stand on stools on one leg, or stand on their hind legs. These animals have no peace in their lives. The only peace they do get is during travel to be left along and sleep. Still, that sucks as well. These animals should be roaming free. Elephants have great memories. When the time comes that they are freed (I have to believe this will happen) they will still have the memories of the horrors that went on.
I don’t know about other states but when the circus came to AZ last year, I got on the news blog and wrote down all that happens at these circuses and I got hits. Even from out of state. Get the media involved. I was surprised that they posted it. The post are removed as more are placed in line. HOWEVER, FOX 10 in Phoenix put a block on it so it could not be removed for 30 days. Well before, during and after the circus was here. Let’s fight with all we have. God bless the animals great and small. Don’t forget the horses, monkeys and other poor animals left.

Entertainment : amusement ; recreation ; diversion ; beguilement ; distraction ; extravaganza ;show…….. now that we see the meaning of this very popular event and how Americans , and the world love their " entertainments" even at the high cost of those who are forced to do the entertaning when 1. it is not their will or nature to do some of the cheap stunts that are painful and dangerous to them. 2. they are mistreated and even beaten when they do not perform the trick as the ring master wants. Yes I am talking about the Circus ! It is time for that type of ’ cruel entertainment " to be banned and forever annuled.
please don’t support the circus. if you doubt how cruely the animals are treated- hang around quitely after the show , and watch. would you want to live the way they are forced to live and travel !? And remember the meanings of entertainment > diversion ; beguilement ; distraction . These words desribe it so true to form. please write to your Senator and Congressperson, or your State Representive and tell them the circus tops must come down once and forever. Its not entertainment – it is torture for the animals. It is not kind to them, nor just, nor right. If you think its okay- well then put yourself in their cage after the show, or your foot in chains after the show, or ride in a box car with no ventilation , literally for hours with no way to rest or change positions or stretch your stiff aching muscles for being in the same position literally for hours till you get to the next town to set up for another entertainment show- then finally you get to get out of the dirty poopie , urine waste box car you were forced to stand in hours upon hours, no freah air, no fresh water or food. yeah – go ahead you live like that- then do your cheap tricks to distract me from seeing your misery..

My mother never took me to the circus as a child because of the way animals were treated – I am 48 and never took my son or daughter either….how unfortunate this cruel “entertainment” is STILL going strong! It never ceases to amaze me at what lengths people will go to have a good time…NOT! We even boycott greyhound races because of the treatment of the dogs AND rabbits! I agree; please EVERYONE, let your friends and coworkers know the TRUTH about this sad, sad situation. Give YOUR voice to help these defenseless animals! God Bless -

I have to say that even DISNEY seemed to show the truth behind traveling circuses decades ago. Ever watch Dumbo?
And it’s sad to me that the same parents buying their children that movie are also taking their children to the circus when it comes to town.
There are other, non-cruel, forms of entertainment out there people.
THINK about your actions and consequences. Not that hard.

Oh how I hate the circus! In this day and age to use animals as entertainment is just beyond me. Using animals for anything is just beyond me. :,(

Moonie, & friends of animals, I agree with each and every one of you. I am 50 yrs young and have felt this way all my life. I love animals more than most humans. You know that God is weeping right along with His Creatures, also. I vollenteer at our local PAWS and I will tell everyone there about this campaign. Keep up the good words and works!

Hi everyone! After I reread my post, I realized I misworded something…I meant to say that, so far I love animals more than most of the people I know! I just can’t help it! It’s really the way I feel. I enjoy people, very much, I guess I’ve just known a lot of stinkers! Who hasn’t ? God Bless!!!!

If you are a parent, you need to explain to your children WHY we don’t want to support the Circus by going to it and tell the Principal at your school why we should not support it. (Every year the school sends home discount coupons that are given to every child in the school. THIS needs to stop) My daughters are 5 and 7 and they understand and then tell their classmates. This is where it needs to start.

What a great idea! My 2 children are 21 & 23, however they were raised since toddlers to love & respect animals….NO REAL FUR….tolerance…..NO “animal acts”….To this day they love & are kind to ALL animals!

Hey Roxanne, good advice- but most americans have been raised to eat meat and think that is the norm… Gen 1 29-20…..and we are just learning how cruely animals are treated in the farms & slaughter places.. so as an american I have been weaning myself from meat…it isn’t easy… I run out of ideas for new & tasty meals.. I need a good vegetarian cookbook! but we all still MUST write & call our Senators and Congress person and tell them how we want new laws for the protection of all God’s created animals.
did you all see my new post for the saving of our American wolves ( and add the cyotes too)…and tha armadilloes, praire dog…it seems all of america is some how against all our wildlife to utterly destroy them from the face of the earth…they either eat them or destroy them… save the animals and protect them………………

Is everyone watching the trial going on with the Ringling Brother/Barnum and Baily-Whatever!!! Circus? The Judge is supposed to rule on it within 2 weeks I believe. It is running on CNN. Now may be the time to find out what actions we can jump on to make a huge difference! Let’s start looking, yeah?
