put yourself in their fur, their cages, their paws, their long dark hot dreary train ride just to perform tricks to make others laugh. Traveling hours -days without fresh air, same postion without proper air, water, relief for their bodies , no movement to shift and rest comfortably, then to be denied comanionship, comfort, and love. Cursed at for moving to slow, pricked and proded with flesh hook stick that cut ,hurt & make you bleed. your tired, lonely, hungry and all you get is abuse,…then left alone..no comfort…just waiting…till it’s " show time" once again.

Can you hear their voices weeping – painfully , mournfully crying out " come save me from this sorrowful torrment. my captors beat me, suffer me to live without proper care, food , shelter. When they get angry they hit me, unmerciful they are. They leave me hurt , wounded chained all alone. I am so sad. so frightened. I need some one to come and rescue me from this torrment and awful painful living conditions- if you call this living. My living quarters are dirty, cramped, cold. They take my babies away from me. I don’t know where they are. I miss them. I don’t feel well. I don’t want to play with the ball anymore, or stand on my head, its so uncomfortable, or sit up at the ring master’s command and whip. I just want to go somewhere quite and peaceful with my baby and my own kind. And be free. Would you be so kind as to help me and others like me forced to live this horriable way of life, to find a way to escape this lonely , cruel life? To be and live as my Creator meant for me and others like me. Please hear my weeping and come to my rescue".

I just can’t help it! It’s really the way I feel. I enjoy people, very much, I guess I’ve just known a lot of stinkers! Who hasn’t ? God Bless!!!!

janis Bates replied on Dec 13, 2008If you are a parent, you need to explain to your children WHY we don’t want to support the Circus by going to it and tell the Principal at your school why we should not support it. (Every year the school sends home discount coupons that are given to every child in the school. THIS needs to stop) My daughters are 5 and 7 and they understand and then tell their classmates. This is where it needs to start.

What a great idea! My 2 children are 21 & 23, however they were raised since toddlers to love & respect animals….NO REAL FUR….tolerance…..NO “animal acts”….To this day they love & are kind to ALL animals!

Hey Roxanne, good advice- but most americans have been raised to eat meat and think that is the norm… Gen 1 29-20…..and we are just learning how cruely animals are treated in the farms & slaughter places.. so as an american I have been weaning myself from meat…it isn’t easy… I run out of ideas for new & tasty meals.. I need a good vegetarian cookbook! but we all still MUST write & call our Senators and Congress person and tell them how we want new laws for the protection of all God’s created animals.
did you all see my new post for the saving of our American wolves ( and add the cyotes too)…and tha armadilloes, praire dog…it seems all of america is some how against all our wildlife to utterly destroy them from the face of the earth…they either eat them or destroy them… save the animals and protect them………………

Gloria Carruth replied on Feb 6, 2009Is everyone watching the trial going on with the Ringling Brother/Barnum and Baily-Whatever!!! Circus? The Judge is supposed to rule on it within 2 weeks I believe. It is running on CNN. Now may be the time to find out what actions we can jump on to make a huge difference! Let’s start looking, yeah?

I wanna tell ya- if the circus ever came to my town ..I would rally a group together and I would be there just to make sure they new how we hold them with contempt and we do not appreciate them or the way they treat animals.! that we want the circus dissolved and gone forever! go get em !
