THE PITCH

Help build a fence around Shanti Uganda’s newly build maternity center in the Nsaasi Village of Uganda!

The birth house is made of local building materials and provides a safe place for women to receive care and birth their babies in an empowering, home-like environment where they receive nutritious food from the garden and continual support.

The building is powered by solar energy and is run on a rain water harvesting system. It includes a community garden for birthing mothers, an outdoor workspace for the women in our Income Generating group and welcoming birthing rooms for local women.

A fence is required to ensure a sense of safety and peace (from animals, for example) for the employees, midwives and birthing women of the centre.
