Financial hardship began in 2005 when Denver’s brutal breed ban sent hundreds of panicked dog owners to the welcome mat of Toni and Mike Phillips’ ‘No Kill’ sanctuary in Divide, CO. This compassionate couple could not turn down their cries for help – now they are the ones at risk…
Operating under strained resources since 2005 – the recent loss of the family business struck the final death blow. Toni and Mike lost both their home and safe loving haven to more than 50 hopeful dogs up for adoption. Bank foreclosure forced them to flee with the dogs before they could relocate their rescue operation…

Toni, so happy for the good results of the campaign. We’ve spoken before and you were so willing to help with the two pit bulls I was trying to find a safe place for. You ROCK! And so does everyone else for caring so much. Thanks everyone for your generosity!

We have one month to raise $15,000 for Mariah’s Promise. I hope that you will help us to continue our work: rescuing dogs, advocate for change, increase spaying & neutering and increase adoptions. Every dollar counts, so please help!

Congrats!! You guys are actually getting there. God is good. I sent you a check the other day towards the campaign, so let me know when it arrives. I have bigger monies coming to me from the IRS, but so far they seem to be dragging their heels. It would be nice if it came before your due date. oh, I’m so excited for you guys, I just know you will make it into that wonderful new property. And the dogs Yeh, Yeh!!! We want to come to see it all, and rejoice with you. Love Patti & you know who!

Hey Toni, Just logged in to see how things are going, and I am totally happy you guys are going to make your goal. I talked with Dawn Capp today, from Chako Rescue for the American Pit Bull terrier, and she is going to put word out as well. Chako is located in Davis, just outside of Sacramento. God has been answering my prayers. Hang in a few more days. Luv ya, Patti
