THE PITCH

It is estimated that over 1 million Americans are affected by Parkinson’s Disease. Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a slowly progressive disease that affects a small area of cells in the mid brain known
as the substantia nigra. Classic signs of Parkinson’s disease include:

• Resting tremor on one side of the body
• Generalized slowness of movement (Bradykinesia)
• Stiffness of limbs (Rigidity)
• Gait or balance problems (Postural Dysfunction)

My brother was diagnosed with PD at the age of 35. He has four boys and a lovely wife who have to live with the uncertainty of his condition every day. Every year there is a walk in Central Park to raise money to help find a cure. Every year our entire family gathers in Central Park to fight this disease. Please help me raise mone to find a cure for this terrible disease.
