Sasha is our 12 year old daughter. She lives in the darkness of Reactive Attachment Disorder, a consequence of infant neglect before we adopted her.
RAD doesn’t kill, but if untreated, it will destroy Sasha’s quality of life as an adult. She trusts no one and has had serious behavior problems. She tries, but can’t push away the memory of being abandoned, hungry and left to die.
She needs help, and you can help her.We have found a program called A HEART’S WORK (www.aheartswork.com), which specializes in the treatment of RAD. The lead therapist has successfully treated RAD in 15 children and is confident that she can enable Sasha to become emotionally healthy.
The cost of therapy is $5500. It is not covered by insurance. We will contribute to this campaign ourselves, as we are able. Your gift will give Sasha 6 weeks of intensive therapy this summer. Sasha is already 12; please help her heal while there is still time.Thank you.
