THE PITCH

The goal of Skateistan is to use the tool of sport to assist in the rehabilitation and empowerment of youth. Working with children from disadvantaged backgrounds, and through regular involvement, Skateistan equips both boys and girls with the confidence to lead their communities toward social change and development using sport.

I have been lucky enough to be selected to serve as a volunteer in Skateistan’s Cambodia project. I will be serving for six months starting January 2012, and need a bit of help making sure I get there!

As a non-profit organization, Skateistan relies solely on volunteers to work with the kids on a daily basis. Due to limited funds, Skateistan only has the ability to cover housing and local transportation costs.

I am asking for help raising the additional funds needed for airfare, vaccinations, visa, and basic living expenses while serving in Cambodia. Any and all help, small or large, is much appreciated!
