During Twestival 2010, Blog Indiana is challenging its friends & followers to raise $500 for Concern Worldwide.
To help raise awareness of some of the most deadly illnesses among children caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation, Concern provides health and hygiene education in schools. Children learn the importance of handwashing with soap, using sources of safe water for drinking and cooking, the importance of sanitation, and other vital health information. They go home and share this information with their families and neighbors, helping reinforce and spread messages that improve the health and survival of children in their communities.

Recent Discussion
We’ve heard from some people that they are hesitant to use thepoint.com to pledge money towards our $500 goal. While we believe it’s perfectly safe to use thepoint.com (they use the exact same system to run groupon.com), others are less confident.
So – we’re moving our fundraiser over to ChipIn:

Your card will not be charged for your previouse pledge.
Chipin doesn’t handle the transaction at all. Instead, it passes you on to PayPal, where you can donate directly to Concern Worldwide. Chipin merely tracks donation amounts given through the chipin widget and adds the amount to our toteboard.
Since we’re going to shut down our thepoint.com page and move to Chipin, your pledge will no longer be recorded.
Please take a minute to contribute via our new Chipin page so they don’t miss out on your donation:

Thanks, and sorry for any confusion this might cause.

I’m trying to gauge why people have/haven’t given. If you have a reason for not giving, please let me know why. I’d like to run a Blog Indiana challenge fundraiser a few times a year, so any feedback you can provide would be very helpful. Thanks!
