THE PITCH

Lice Solutions’ team will work with local special needs programs to ensure that any special needs child from a low income family that is found with head lice, is able to receive nit removal services at no charge to the family. Families of these children will also be checked to ensure no further contact exist within the household. During the course of treatment, which, depending on the cooperation level and severity of the case, takes several hours, staff works with parents to help develop a course of action that will help prevent re-infestation on the child. Once treatment has been completed and the child is deemed lice free, the family will be scheduled for 2 follow-up rechecks over the following two weeks, to ensure that no further lice contact exists. Each family will leave with their own lice comb, as well as preventive treatment products. The child will benefit from minimal disruption in routine, a critical aspect for any special needs child. Every $120 treats one child.
