  • How can you chose a New Year’s Resoultion when you have so many things you want to change? Do you chose no more nagging the husband, no more soda, get a job, stop yelling at the kids, excersise more, manage money better….so many things!

  • I just figures out which are the 12 most important topics to me. From now on, I chuse one per month by lot…

I would like to give up Sugar!!
    I feel so much better/happier when I don’t eat it….
I don’t know why it’s been so difficult for me to do..
Anyway – I loved reading The Happiness Project. It’s the January selection for my book club… Can’t wait to discuss it!

  • I want to be mindful and grateful for the many positives in my life.

I want to make better nutritional choices and be more physically actives.

I want to write every day.

I want to do – and be – what makes me happy.

I want to be the best I can be.

I want to improve my health – especially nutritionally.
I want to be more physically active.
    I want to worry less.
I want to live for the moment more.
I want to work to live rather than live to work.

I want to work to live rather than live to work.

  • I have a massive lists of things I want to accomplish to improve my life. I followed Gretchen’s lead and looked for 12 themes to help organize my list. I am also keeping track of my happiness project on my blog –
    “link text” :http://linkurl.com.

Good luck to all of you!

  • It doesn’t look like I followed the formatting instructions correctly. Here is my blog address -

  • I would like to be more active this year. This is the key to reach my goals.

  • I was thinking about my resolutions last night. Actually, I’ve been thinking about the for the last couple of weeks.

These are just a few (yes, there’s a lot):
    1. exercise
    2. eating healthier
    3. thinking positive
    4. marathon #2 (I’ve only got three months to train; is it even possible?)

  • Last nite my family and I wrote out, on strips of paper things that we want/intend to let go of in the the coming year (2011) and then burned them. Mine were:
    *Fear
    *Anger
    *25 lbs.
then we wrote out what we intend to accomplish in the coming year (2011). I signed up for the Big Picture Classes course – One Little Word with Ali Edwards and my word for the year is HAPPYNESS ( I’m spelling it this way cause it makes me happy).
    HAPPYNESS in:
    *My work life
    *Home life
    *Relationships
    *Finances
    *Vitality
    *Creativity
    *MySelf
I also intend to yell less, show love more and surrender my opinion about all the little unimportant things that don’t really matter in the Big Picture of my life.

  • Almost through the first day of the year! Just found the Happiness Challenge. I intend to take care of myself so I can enjoy better quality of life with my family and loved ones. A couple of things I want to do this year…
*My husband & I will train to walk our first 10k late February
*We will take our summer vacation at the beach
*We will travel to Orlando in December. I love Christmas!

  • I am reading “The Happiness Project” now and am excited to join the challenge. I would find it helpful to have a calendar or template to record my goals and check them off like Gretchen does in her book. I look forward to the weekly encouragement emails and reading about other’s successes.

  • I agree with Carol – so many things how to choose??? Where do I begin?

I decided not to have a long list this year, but one that I can finish:

    - start my own business
    - Ride my bike to work
    - Lose 5kg
    - Organize my daughter’s 4th bday

My goal is to live in the moment and stop worrying.

My intentions for 2011 are to live mindfully and to be open to joy.

I have registered for a Mindful Eating retreat in February. Also my husband and I decided to share 5 things each evening for which we are grateful.

  • I want to have more motivation and less fear! I want to think positively and realistically, to appreciate the small things (like the first taste of watermelon after a long winter), to think less unkind things about people, and to argue less.

I want to work harder at school and retain more (rather than getting a good grade and forgetting it all).

I want to follow the Happiness Project to the end!

  • In 2011 I want to rediscover the real me underneath the facade and within the corporate life that I live.
I designed my 12 month Happiness Project and pledge to follow it through!
