Help send Aquaponics to Mozambique!

Aquaponics is a system that can be used to simultaneously raise fish & grow food, textiles, natural medicine, & other things that are needed to sustain human life.

In Aquaponics, the fish effluent feeds the plants, and the food for the fish can be grown in the system, creating a synergy that—provided there is water—always produces fish and plants.

The system includes pipes to channel the fish effluent with holes in top to hold flower pots, a water pump, lights, a 12 volt battery and a small solar panel to recharge the battery.

Investing not just in food, but in sustainable methods to produce food may be the key to long term sustainability of a community. Aquaponics systems can also serve as educational tools to show what can be done in urban areas with people living modern lifestyles to provide the basics.

This is the first of many Aquaponics systems to be sent out, but we are sending them one at a time. When this campaign tips, we will begin a new one to send more.
