OBJECTIVE
Locate volunteers in 100 cities to conduct outreach events for Orangutan Caring Week Nov 2011
TERMS

If we reach at least 100 people by September 30, 2011, then We pledge to provide online resources to assist in conducting outreach events.

THE PITCH

Orangutans, one of humankind’s closest primate relatives and gardeners of the rainforests of Borneo and Sumatra, are threatened with extinction. Based on recent surveys, biologists believe that only 50,000-60,000 orangutans remain in the wild. They have lost approximately 80% of their forest home in the past 20 years.

We want you to participate in this worldwide event. Help build a “critical mass of concerned voices” in November 2011 to focus attention on the species through your efforts and those of other supporters. We would like people to come to understand and care about the orangutan, to appreciate that the habitat of the orangutan, the tropical rain forest, is vital to not only orangutans but to other wildlife and to all of us on this planet, and to take action in various ways to make a difference.

Over the past 6 years we have enrolled many people around the world but we want to build the critical mass to 100. Learn more at www.orangutancaringweek.org.
