THE PITCH

There’s a campaign on The Point to raise $10m to offer Weezer in a bid to make them stop making music.

We represent the sensible majority of Weezer fans who realise that, although great, the Blue Album and Pinkerton are simply products of their time and that their songwriter Rivers Cuomo has continued to write great music since then, in spite of admittedly getting a bit … weirder.

But we love his weirdness and want a new Weezer album every year – and not re-releases of Pinkerton or b-side compilations.
