to get HBO (or any production company that's able) to bring back Deadwood to wrap up the series for two final 2-hour made-for-TV movies
TERMS

If this objective is met, then we will give money to: the first production company to commit to produce the final two 2-hr Deadwood movies (if its not HBO they have to get permission before we send them the $$)

WHAT WOULD IT BE WORTH TO YOU?
You only pay if the objective is met!

THE PITCH

Despite critical acclaim & a passionate fan base, Deadwood never really made a substantial profit for HBO, & was halted after its 3rd & last season in August 2006.

Since then, both HBO & creator David Milch spoke about bringing back the series for 2 final 2-hour TV movies, but just recently in July 2008 HBO announced that they would not bring back Deadwood.

Many fans want to see how Milch wraps up the unresolved story lines, and I believe there is still a chance we can bring it back!

This campaign is a fundraiser to help motivate HBO, or any production company, to finish Deadwood with 2 final 2-hour made for TV movies. We all make pledges here, & as the pot grows we’ll hopefully motivate someone to make it financially feasible to complete the series. We don’t have to cover all the costs of production, as the finale will still bring in profits.

We only pay once someone actually commits to produce the 2 final films (and if its not HBO who does it, they must get legal permission from HBO to go through with production).

The word “fuck” was said 43 times in the first hour of the show (as reported by MTV Canada, 2006). It has also been reported that the series had a total count of “fucks” of 2980, and a cumulative FPM of 1.56.
